Broadway is a series of photographs that explores moments of mundane beauty in everyday life. Broadway was simply a means to restrict myself from the sensory overload that New York has to offer. It became a way to limit my canvas mentally and concentrate on the photographs. I found myself visiting different parts of the city with no rhyme or reason, Broadway was my destination everywhere I went. In a society where information is at our finger tips all the time I like to strip away any context and identity in my photographs. My intention is to create moments where the viewer is invited to take a glimpse into someone else's life enabling them to build their own narrative of who this person might be. I look for a certain sense of mystery or for a character who is unaware of their surroundings living in their own moment and reality. My subjects are often confined in solitude, surreal moments --- the result being a peaceful tranquility, emerging from their gaze.
